When the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) was told it had a year to relocate the 2016 Progressive Miami International Boat Show and build all new docks, it turned to the companies it represents to help make the show a success. Hubbell Marine is proud to have provided much-needed electrical components that powered the in-water portion of the event.
Working overtime and weekends, Hubbell Marine employees ramped-up their manufacturing capabilities to supply single-pole devices, adapters and other electrical products. Installed by Miami-based Edd Helms Group, the familiar yellow Hubbell products crowded the docks.
"The Miami show's timing created an incredibly tight schedule to get the marina portion up and running in time," said Joe DiMaria, Hubbell's director of marine marketing and sales. "It's the premier event in the US. We were only too happy to do our part to help it become the success it was." The NMMA reported attendance increased 4% to 100,279 attendees.
Hubbell Marine manufactures cable sets, shore power inlets, adapters, connectors, plugs, ground fault receptacles, weatherproof plates and accessories. The global company is on the forefront of developing new technologies for recreational and commercial marine markets.
